Thinking about buying a smartphone, but don’t have the funds available? You don’t need to worry since the Asus Zenfone Live (L1) is available for an extremely affordable price tag of just $110 over at Best Buy.

What’s more is that even being a budget phone, it packs some impressive features. This phone is going to be Asus’ first one to actually use Android Go. Android Go is the simplest possible version of the Google Android platform fulfilling all the basic needs of a smartphone.

Android Go is becoming the mainstream day by day on budget phones, which lack the features of a flagship, yet still does the job pretty well since its essentially tailored for them.

Prepaid customers especially those in India like Dual-Sim phones, thus this phone also supports Dual Sim feature. Furthermore, even though 16 GB internal storage is gladly welcome for a budget phone, there is also a dedicated micro SD card slot so that you can add more storage once you run out of it. In addition to this, the device features a whopping 3,000 mAh battery which isn’t even found on some flagships phones from other companies.

Perhaps, the major downside about the phone is that it only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-fi channel even though the processor is fully capable of supporting 5 GHz channel as well. Not only this, but the phone only has 1 GB of RAM, which is far too less even for a budget phone which usually has at least 2 GB of RAM these days.

With an Android Go you would also be missing out on Google Assistant, yet it won’t matter if you don’t use it anyway.

Specifications

The Asus Zenfone Live (L1) is powered by a quad-core processor namely Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 Mobile Platform. For Graphics rendering it uses an Adreno 308 GPU. For such a low price, you are at least getting a 5.5-inches 720p IPS display. On top of that, the good old headphone jack is still there, and you can always take average quality photos with an 8 MP f2 rear shooter with phase-detection autofocus, or the 5MP f2.4 selfie camera. In addition to this, the phone also supports 1080 video recording as well.

For the average user, who just needs to make some calls, text and browse the web casually, then this phone is best suited to them.
