The video games industry has come a long way from where it once started. It’s almost shocking as to how much progress has been made in graphics and gameplay mechanics when you compare the current games to the classics.
Sony’s Play Station 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One are the two dominating players in the console market and today we are going to look at the top 5 best exclusive games you can pick up for your console of choice right now.
XBOX ONE
One of the main reasons why people chose to pick up the Play Station 3 over the Xbox 360 was due to an amazing collection of exclusive games that were available on the Play Station 3. With the Xbox One, however, Microsoft has sought to remedy that and has come out with some great exclusive titles for their console. Following are the top 5 exclusives for the Xbox One.
Quantum Break:
If you are one those gamers that prefer a solid storyline over multiplayer, then Quantum Break is a must try. The developers over at Remedy Entertainment have done a great job in creating a game that immerses you into the wonderful world of science fiction where each and every one of your decisions matter.
It’s so well made that at various moments during the game I was left to question as to whether I am playing a video game or watching a television show. Quantum break is a third person shooter game and without spoiling too much for you guys, YOU CAN BEND TIME IN IT! I guess that’s reason enough to pick it up.
HALO 5: Guardians:
You’ve probably heard the name already because it’s a game that Xbox fans hold very closely to their hearts and naturally, it made it’s come back on the Xbox One. If you are a fan of first person shooter games and also love competitive multiplayer, then you have to try HALO at least for once.
The game is developed by 343 industries and is a first person shooter game. The game features a solid fast-paced multiplayer experience and also offers a good storyline for the single player gamers like myself.
GEARS OF WAR 4:
Another great offering at the Xbox side of things is Gears Of War 4. The first Gears Of War was developed for the Xbox 360 and became a huge success due to its fantastic gameplay and unique weapons and of course, MONSTERS. With Gears Of War 4, the developers over at The Coalition went back to their roots and came out with a masterpiece.
The game made an epic return to the scene after the failure of Gears Of War Judgment and brought back some of the features which made the franchise great. It features a very competitive third-person multiplayer mode and a solid single player campaign filled with monsters and demons, and the list goes on!
FORZA HORIZON 3:
If you consider yourself a fan of racing games and haven’t played Forza yet then please, either play the game or stop calling yourself a racing game fan. All jokes aside, Forza Horizon 3 is a must play the game for you if you are a fan of racing games.
The game features an amazing and scenic open world where you explore the beauty of Australia. The attention to detail that this game has to offer is mind-boggling. To put it simply, can’t afford that dream car of yours? Drive it in Forza.
DEAD RISING 3:
Do you like zombies? Of course, you do. Dead Rising 3 is an open-world survival horror game and is developed by Capcom Vancouver. The game will have you kill more zombies than you can count while you try to make yourself out of a city that is soon to be nuked. The developers have done a good job in keeping you immersed and engaged in the storyline while providing a solid gameplay experience on top of it. A must play for zombie fans.
PLAY STATION 4:
Sony has done it once again with the Play Station 4 by providing its customers with some fantastic AAA exclusive games. Microsoft may have covered some ground with the Xbox One when it comes to exclusive games but if I had to choose one I would still prefer the exclusives that the Play Station 4 has to offer and maybe after you play these 5 games, you will too.
THE LAST OF US REMASTERED:
Yes I know, strictly speaking, the Last Of Us is a Play Station 3 game but the Play Station 4 has brought over a huge number of Xbox players and for that, it has to be mentioned. Naughty Dog never ceases to amaze me with their storytelling.
The game is a third-person shooter and If you are a fan of games with a good storyline then I promise you that you will be hooked to this one within the first 30 minutes of your playthrough of the game. And of course, there are zombies too.
UNCHARTED 4: A THIEF’S END:
Whenever somebody mentions the words “Exclusive Games” around me I immediately start thinking about this masterpiece of a game. Once again, Naughty Dog has amazed me with what a game can be. Uncharted 4 is a third person shooter game where you take on the role of a treasure hunter named Nathan Drake and accompany him in his search for a long lost treasure while fighting off bandits with your assault rifle.
Not only that, the game features one of the most amazing sceneries I have ever seen in a game to date and the same gripping storyline as its predecessors. What more can you ask for?
UNTIL DAWN:
Until Dawn is a surprisingly underrated and a strong interactive survival horror game developed by Supermassive Games. If you are a fan interactive role-playing games like Heavy Rain or Beyond Two Souls then this is the game for you.
The game not only makes you tackle tough decisions and dialogues but delivers a very strong and compelling storyline whit lots and I mean lots of scares which is pretty much all I look for in a game.
RATCHET & CLANK:
I am usually not a big fan of the re-mastered games, but, when this game was announced I was head over heels with joy and praying to God that they don’t somehow ruin this classic for me and I am happy to report that, they haven’t!
The game not only builds on everything which made Ratchet & Clank such a great game, to begin with, but it also adds some brand spanking new bosses and levels. The game is a third-person shooter game and is a must add to your playlist.
BLOODBORNE
If you are in need of a break from First Person Shooter games or like a challenge or you simply like dying a lot while you scream mindlessly at the top of your lungs in frustration then yes, Bloodborne is the one for you.
I’ll warn you however, it’s not easy but doable. Bloodborne is an action RPG and is set to take your breath away with its dark atmosphere and stunningly spooky visuals. If you like Dark Souls and want to experience a top-notch exclusive game like it then give this game a shot.
