Samsung unveils high-tech products: World’s First MicroLED 146-inch TV, “The Wall” and 8K Smart TV

Ever gone to grandpa’s and see that big box behind their TV? Well, that’s the TV! TV’s have grown slimmer and slimmer yet continue to increase in their screen size. Another remarkable achievement in this advancement of TV’s recently is the unveiling of “The Wall”, Samsung’s and most importantly, world’s first Modular Micro-LED 146-inch TV.

Yes, you saw that right. The annual CES First Look became the center the center of attention when Samsung unveiled this modular TV along with other latest innovations in display products. Not only will the viewers have the best viewing experience with such a large screen sized TV, but it will also act as a centralized connected smart hub.

We’re excited about this next step along our roadmap to the future of screen technology, and the remarkable viewing experience it offers to consumers.”

One of a kind Modular TV with Micro-LEDs

Rest assured of the best definition of images and videos, whatever the size or resolution, courtesy the technology of the future. The LEDs used in this TV are Micro-LEDs, which are much smaller than our own LEDs these days. Not only this, but they serve as their own source of light as well.

With these Micro-LEDs, there is no need for color filters or backlight. Even without these, there is no compromise on consumer experience. In addition to this, the MicroLED screen is durable as well and is much more efficient than it’s rival technologies. Therefore, power consumption wouldn’t be a problem in the coming age for TVs of even such a large screen size.

Courtesy the bezel-less, module-based design, you can alter the TV size to whatever suits the need. As of now, the price of the TV isn’t known, but based on speculations, expect the TV to cost you a $100,000 at least.

Artificially Intelligent Technology for 8K Picture Quality

Not only is The Wall unveiled, but another world’s first QLED TV is set for release during the third quarter of this year. This QLED TV shall employ artificial intelligence to deliver content at a resolution of 8K. Basically, Samsung has made use of an algorithm, which will upscale the picture quality of a standard definition, whatever it may be to 8K.

Expect a plethora of features to aid the viewing experience. There would be detail enhancement, noise reduction, edge restoration function, and automatic sound adjustments. These all would ensure the ultimate viewing experience, you ever wanted.

Smart TV to feature Bixby and SmartThings

The Samsung’s 2018 Smart TV was shown to have functions like the Bixby, SmartThings, and universal guide.

If you don’t know about Bixby yet, then it’s Samsung’s own personal assistant developed recently. Therefore expect the TV to interact with the user quite easily. This is all possible courtesy the Bixby’s comprehensive voice analysis capabilities. Not only this but also expect an easier way to share stuff and connect devices, courtesy SmartThings, which is the Samsung’s latest IoT platform hub.
