Pakistani Former Cricket, Shahid Afridi Thanks Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket Team for Farewell Gift

On Friday, April 21st, 2017 Shahid Afridi-The Former Pakistan cricketer show gratitude to Indian Cricket Team and Virat Kohli for sending him a gift in the form of an ODI jersey with signatures of all members of Indian Cricket team on its back.

The former cricket star, Afridi says goodbye to Test and ODI formats, his golden 21-years-old international career during T20 cricket version held in February this year.

Cricket Relations between Pakistan and India have never been pleasant but it got way more strained since few years. This gesture from Virat Kohli’s Team for Pakistani all-rounder cricketer is super-magnificent and is sending a huge message to the world of war and fear.

Faizan Lakhani, a senior Pakistani Journalist, tweets the jersey sent by Indian Team with a caption

“Virat Kohli‘s shirt, signed by the Indian team, for Shahid Afridi, with a special message ‘always a pleasure playing against you’.”

The ODI jersey has ‘VIRAT’ printed on it with the number 18 written on it, with the signature of   former coach Ravi Shastri, Indian skipper, Yuvraj Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ashish Nehra, Ravindra Jadeja, Shikhar Dhawan, R. Ashwin, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, Pawan Negi and many others

Kohli tweeted, “Shahid Bhai, best wishes, always a pleasure playing against you.”

“Thank you to you and the entire Indian team for a wonderful farewell gift @imVkohli.. Respect superstar, hope to see you soon,” Afridi wrote a tweet in reply to Virat Kohli.

“@SAfridiOfficial It’s a pleasure to have gifted something of importance and a lasting memory @SAfridiOfficial God bless you with everything in life See you”

In the UK, Pakistan and India would be seen playing for an ODI Trophy in June 2017. Along with South Africa and Sri Lanka, they all comprise the same group.
