OnePlus is definitely weird when it comes to launch events. This year alone, we had two of them and now we have a third one incoming. The first one happened in the second week of May and that’s when we got to see the OnePlus 7 Series. The second event happened only 4 months later at the end of September where we got the OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus TV.
Now, to be fair, OnePlus did mention it will hold a separate launch event for Europe in the second week of October and I even talked about it while discussing the last event. However, you may be wondering what is left for the company to launch. Well, a lot actually. The main product being the OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition.

In the Tweet that you see above, OnePlus is actually teasing us with the picture of the box of the phone? How do we know it belongs to the McLaren Edition specifically? Well, the Carbon Fiber texture and the Orange color combo is a clear giveaway. So what can we expect from the upcoming OnePlus 7T McLaren?
Like the OnePlus 6T McLaren, that we saw last year, was largely based on the OnePlus 6T that came before it. Sure, the specs were bumped up a but it was the same phone with a slightly different design with a higher price tag. This time, however, things could be a little different. That’s because we’re also expecting something called the OnePlus 7T Pro.
The phone wasn’t announced with the regular OnePlus 7T and it is expected to debut in this very launch event. With significantly better specs than the 7T, the 7T Pro will be the company’s new flagship for a couple of months till its successor is announced. That being said, the Mclaren Edition of the 7T series will probably be based on the 7T Pro and presumably called the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren instead.
Either way, we’re excited for what OnePlus has in store for us this time. The launch event will take place on 10th October 2019 at 4 pm BST. If you’re interested, you can watch it on an office Livestream on the OnePlus YouTube channel.
