Nvidia seems to be working on a new graphics card namely the GTX 1660 Ti which will feature their latest Turing architecture. The rumors were posted on VideoCardz which suggests that this GPU might be able to give really great performance without breaking the bank. So today we are going to discuss about the latest Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti to find out if it is worth it.

If we talk about Nvidia’s latest Turing architecture RTX graphics card then you already know that they all feature ray tracing and DLSS which basically makes the game more immersive by making the lighting and reflection more realistic. But what if you don’t need this fancy ray tracing technology and instead we just want a graphics card with the latest Turing architecture.

If so then you are in luck as the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti will be featuring the latest generation architecture giving it much better power efficiency and performance in comparison to the previous generation. The official pricing has not been released yet but it will really budget friendly as it will not feature Tensor cores for ray tracing which bump up the price.

Now let’s talk about the specs to know more about how will it perform. Firstly, it will come with 12nm FF TU116 GPU featuring 1,536 CUDA cores along with 6 Gigabytes of GDDR6 memory with memory bus of 192-bit. The new GDDR6 memory will definitely increase the performance. If we compare it with the RTX 2060 then the only difference in specs is that it has 1920 CUDA cores and ray tracing.

The performance will be very similar to the Nvidia GTX 1070, the GTX 1070 has more CUDA cores but still GTX 1660 Ti will perform same or may be even better in some cases thanks to the latest Turing architecture which is really efficient and powerful compared to the Pascal architecture

So this is all that we know currently about the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti, there have been no details about the bandwidth, clock speeds or even the TDP. The official pricing has also not been revealed but rumors suggest that it will cost around $400. If all this is true then it can be a really good deal for mid range gamers as you will be getting Nvidia GTX 1070 like performance at much lower price.

We will post more about it once this GPU is officially announced so stay tuned. Tell us what you think about it in the comments section below.
