iPhone vs Android! Who will win?

Picking iPhone over android or vice versa has indeed become the toughest question of this millennium. This is the battle in the industry of smartphones from a long time now where users are acutely caught up in the confusion of which phone is the best?

While Apple is the only producer of iPhones it keeps full control over how its hardware and software works. This complete unanimity is quite difficult to achieve in Android software, where Google offers its software to many phone makers.

With hardware in the Androids designed by the phone makers, there tend to be different frequencies on which the Google software and hardware works on various Android phones.

Some works on best frequencies while other android phones are unable to stand the quality and hence often the Android users are heard of complaining about phone’s inefficiency in terms of slowing down, heating, and hanging up problems. Contrary to this, these problems are infrequent in iPhones and only occur when there are new software updates.

When there are too many products in the market with many features alike and different at the same time it becomes a really nerve-wracking decision to set yourself on a phone, which adequately satisfies all the demands and proves the worth of money too.

Both types of phones are competing on providing its users with the following features of the bezel-free front, lightweight, easy to carry and slim and sleek design. Fortunately, these are the additional new features in the upcoming phones of both the brands, Apple and Samsung.

Camera and photography is another ground, and perhaps the significant one on which people makes their preference. There seems a tough competition between the upcoming phones of Apple’s iPhone 7s and Samsung’s galaxy 8.

Though here both the phones have been able to attract users with 12 Megapixel back camera with the Samsung taking a slight edge in offering 8 Megapixel of front selfie camera as compared to the 7 Megapixel of front camera in iPhone 7s.

With all these similarities, one must be wondering if there lies a difference between the prices of these two phones either a slight difference or large? So the answer is that there is a slight difference in the prices of these elegant phones, both falls in between $500-800.

With so much of similarities discussed here comes the time to discuss the limitations both iPhone and Android have got over each other. The first limitation to be discussed is the number of applications available on App store and Google store.

For android users, there is more application available than Apple users. While Google’s policies for app makers are not sufficiently strict, Apple seems to be stricter in issuing applications on their app store. With more strict policies used by Apple, few lesser app is available for iPhone users.

But app makers are seen more worried and complains about cost when making free applications for different phones in an Android industry, as opposed to the androids less cost are incurred on App store since only one type of phone is involved. Also, many apps make their debut with App store releasing the android version later.

Apple has superseded the traditional gaming tools of Nintendo and Sony with Apple’s devices becoming increasingly popular for playing games. So here, in this case, iPhone seems to be the winner. With Google’s emphasis on free apps, along with the problem of developing costs, many major game companies have completely stopped making an app for androids.

So here iPhone has made a clear win over the android phones.

The other areas in which iPhone has taken a clear lead over the android phone is the connectivity and compatibility with other devices.

Apple not only develops just a phone but also develops compatible devices such as tablets, watch and laptop computers. The main aim is to help you support your tasks throughout your day, with ease on different compatible devices.

For example, you can receive your email on all your devices connected and can reply instantly from anywhere at anytime. For instance, an email received on Mac can be replied from iPhone while you are attending the party.

Also one of the best features is perhaps the iCloud photo sharing where pictures taken in your phone automatically gets transferred to ‘photo’ on your mac, or your tablet, without doing it manually. In terms of connectivity and compatibility, iPhone has taken a great lead over Androids. With this connectivity, Apple has made itself the user-friendly with perfectly catering the daily life needs of flexibility.

But there are few things, in which Google has taken a prominent lead such as ‘Google now’ has overshadowed ‘Siri’, where ‘Google now’ can perform much typical task such as it would remind you of your meeting time,  ‘Siri’ on the other hand is just restricted towards performing some basic tasks. Though Apple is trying to improve their Artificial intelligence feature with every release.

So far with the above discussion, it’s clear that if you keep the desire to use the latest features on your phone and want to remain updated, then iPhone seems to be the best choice.

Other than this Apple have developed a great system of support for its users by making Apple store, where the users can complain, report and discuss their phone issues under the supervision of an authentic specialist and get them solved with ease.

However, this support is not readily available to android users where they always stay on the risk of getting their phone issues resolved either by doing it themselves or by relying upon uncertified specialists.

The other great advantage of iPhone over android is that even if your phone is stolen your data is safe and your phone cannot be used again this is because of the strict system of safety locking and unlocking present in the iPhones. In Androids there is opposite,  no safety is guaranteed and your data is only safe partially if you have placed extra passwords on each of your apps. Factory resetting is very easy in Androids than in iPhones.

So what else to look for? What about battery life? Yes, Androids with newer processor Snapdragon 835 octa core, will see a double-fold increase in the processing speed, alleviating efficiency. The lesser burden on battery means reduced battery consumption. Many users have reviewed LG phones as battery efficient with longer battery life.

Also, there are more opportunities to customize in android the way the users wants to set their home screens. You can either keep your home screen completely empty or can keep some important and daily use applications on your home screen or can set a clear visible wallpaper. This feature is considerably reduced in iPhones with all the application grouped on your home screen you are left with little opportunity to design and set the screen the way you want.

We saw in many areas, iPhone has clearly proved its popularity over android phones. Each individual user has a distinct set of preferences, but there are many who prefers keeping both kinds of smartphones.However, even if people think to keep both the types, which version to buy in iPhones and which version and brand to buy in androids still haunts.The above discussion might help buyers to provide a little guidance in making the decision.
