Apple keeps itself busy and we all know it. With the Apple’s recent iPhone X being a revolutionary yet extremely expensive one, many users couldn’t simply afford Apple iPhone. To make up for such customers, and to expand its customer base to a vast majority, Apple did release a comparatively inexpensive iPhone SE in 2016. Now, it’s coming back in the form of Apple iPhone SE2, around May.
Now that this is settled, that Apple is finally reviving the iPhone SE series again, let’s look at the major changes. The new iPhone SE shall have more or less similar design, with some changes here and there. It’s expected that like the iPhone 8, the iPhone SE 2 shall bring back the glass back, which was last present before the iPhone 8 in iPhone 4s. The reason behind this could very well possibly be to include wireless charging, again part of the new iPhone 8.
In addition to these features, Apple shall still need to keep a check on the iPhone SE 2 price, otherwise, there won’t be a point of releasing a phone matching iPhone 8 in specs. To make up for this, it’s expected that the iPhone SE 2 shall not feature the much useful (if you know how to), 3D functionality.
Not only this, but it’s also expected that in the later parts of the year, different kinds of iPhones shall be released. As per the Digitimes report, Apple would be coming back to LCD panels with 2 phones employing such panels. The expected screen size for the two phones is 5.7- or 5.8-inch display and a 6.0- to 6.1-inch screen respectively. But, it shall still continue to work on its OLED models as well, introducing 2 newer models featuring 6 inches to 6.5 inches OLED Display.

But according to Digitimes, Apple might be tempted to rather go with their previous line-up of a single OLED model and two LCD phones, rather than introducing 2 OLED and 2 LCD models each. It’s more inclined towards, ditching the 6.1 inches OLED iPhone and replace it with a bigger 6.5 inch one.
As with most of Apple’s New Devices, previous functions continue to exist in the future devices as well. This means that it’s expected that any new LCD (except the iPhone SE 2) or OLED model, shall feature both Wireless Charging and 3D Touch Functionality as well.
It might be possible that the reason behind ditching the introduction of another OLED model shall be because of its supply. Already Apple had a hard time in keeping with the production time of iPhone X, because of limited OLED supplies. Therefore, this might just be the reason as well.
As for now, what we can all do is just sit back and relax, and wait for good news from Apple.
