Jailbreak or exploit is the modification of a device by using some sort of software(sequence of commands) which allows to take advantages of bug on the system to add extra functionality to the device and gives the user the administrative rights.
In PS4 jailbreaking removes the restrictions by Sony and allows the user to install games and mods from USB. It even allows you to back up your games in the PS4-HDD or External HDD-3.0. To make it more simple, it allows you to do heaps of fun stuff.
Jailbreaking the PlayStation is not the only way to add more functionality. There are other exploits available like PS4 Remote Play which allows you to remotely screen and play games on your smartphone and PC.

Prerequisites:
The first thing that you must know is that jailbreaks are never made available for the latest firmware. Sony has recently released v6.50 firmware for PlayStation 4 but currently, v6.20 and below can be hacked or exploited.
If you see a jailbreak for the latest version then it is probably fake or some kind of survey. These surveys most of the time will not lead you to anything and even if it does provide with a file to download, it will have nothing to do with a PlayStation 4 jailbreak.
Also, you need to be extremely careful while downloading the file as the wrong one can result in bricking up your console. It is recommended that you do not proceed unless know exactly what you are doing.
Now that you have got everything figured out, let’s get actually started with the process.
Requirements:
A USB stick with 1GB free space.
A PlayStation 4 console compatible with the custom firmware
Any extraction program like WinRAR.
Step No. 1:
Before starting the process make sure you are on the right version. You can check your PlayStation’s version from their official website. Also, make sure that your console is compatible with the custom firmware that you are about to download.
Step No. 2:
Next, you need to download the custom firmware jailbreak file. Click here to download. wait for the download to finish.
Step No. 3:
Now extract the downloaded file using WinRAR or any other extraction software.
Step No. 4:
Once you have successfully extracted the file insert your USB stick and copy the extracted file to USB. Make sure to copy it in the root of USB and not in any other folder.
Step No. 5:
Now head over to your console. Turn it off and then plug in the USB stick into the PS4 console. After plugging in the USB power on the console and wait for few seconds.
Step No. 6:
Once the console has loaded head over to Settings / System Update / Update via Storage Media / Proceed. The installation will take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
Step No. 7:
Now your console will be running a custom firmware v3.50 cfw. That’s it! You have successfully jailbroken your PS4. Now you can install pirated games, apps and other mods easily using your USB device. Although, we do not support piracy and would recommend you to buy the game to support the developer.
