Helldivers 2 Players Receive Bonus XP and Requisition During Boost Weekend
If you’ve felt player rewards have been lacking in Helldivers 2 after finishing a mission, it’s not just you. Developer Arrowhead is aware of the problem and continues to work on a fix. In the meantime, the game will grant extra bonuses to all players during the weekend.
In a message shared on Twitter, deputy game director Sagar Beroshi said that players will receive XP and Requisition at a 50% multiplier on top of the base mission score. To make sure you’re actually getting said bonus, you should be able to see a Game Master Effect labeled “Accounting Corrections” while on the Super Destroyer.
The multiplier will be in effect until “the end of this Sunday,” at midnight CET, which is 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET.
The weekend is already proving to be quite busy, with an issue with matchmaking taking place earlier today. Arrowhead deployed a fix shortly after and matchmaking is back again, but just in case, make sure to keep an eye out for the studio’s social media accounts, especially the Discord server, in case you run into any problems.
Elsewhere in the galaxy, Arrowhead said it’s “never” adding PvP to Helldivers 2 to avoid having a toxic community. After a busy first week, CEO Johan Pilestedt also teased a new roadmap forthcoming in the near future. Meanwhile, Xbox’s Phil Spencer doesn’t know how the game’s current PlayStation exclusivity helps it.
Overall, it’s great to see the developers taking action to address player concerns and ensure that everyone has a positive gaming experience. As the gaming industry continues to evolve, it’s essential for developers to listen to their community and make necessary adjustments to enhance the overall gameplay.
In my opinion, the decision to add extra bonuses during the weekend shows that Arrowhead is dedicated to creating an enjoyable and rewarding experience for their players. The ongoing commitment to fixing issues and the transparency of communication with the community bodes well for the future of Helldivers 2. It’s also refreshing to see the studio’s stance on avoiding toxic behavior by not adding PvP, as maintaining a positive and inclusive gaming environment is crucial in today’s gaming landscape. I look forward to seeing how the game evolves and the new roadmap that CEO Johan Pilestedt has teased, as it shows a commitment to ongoing development and improvement.
