We’re in the Endgame now. Week 9 of Season 8 is finally here for Fortnite and with it comes the massive Avengers: Endgame event. The event comes with its own LTM in which players are divided into two teams, Team Thanos and Team Avengers. The objective of Team Thanos is to gather the infinity stones while the Avengers have to stop Thanos and the Chitauri from doing so. However, the fun doesn’t just stop there. Week 9, along with its usual challenges also brings some special Endgame challenges to keep the players hooked. Endgame is arguably one of the most hyped movies of all time and you can now do the special challenges for the movie in Fortnite and enjoy even more Avengers content to satisfy your soul.
Apart from the Endgame challenges, the Week 9 offers some interesting challenges along with a bonus Discovery Challenge for a sweet free Battle Star. As you probably know by now, the weekly challenges come in two sets. One is available for all the players while the second one is limited to Battle Pass players only. Week 9 Discovery Challenge
- Find the Battle Star in the Viking Ship.
As you can see from the list, most of the challenges for this week are pretty straightforward. However, there are still a couple of challenges that require some work like dancing between ice sculptures and finding the Battle Star. Fear not though, you don’t need to stress yourself out as we’re going to tell you exactly where you need to be in order to finish these challenges in no time. So, read on!
Dance between Ice Sculptures, Dinosaurs and Hot Springs Challenge
The dancing challenge falls under the Battle Pass category so if you don’t have a premium pass, you won’t be eligible for this. The locations for this challenge haven’t been pointed out by the game and it just sends you in a general direction with little hints. If you’re a veteran of the game, you can figure out where these locations are pretty fast but if you can’t, don’t worry we’ve got you covered. The first part of the challenge tells you to dance between three Ice Sculptures. Naturally, ice sculptures are found in cold areas so Frosty Flights is the place to go. Just go to the east of Frosty Flights at C8 on the grid and you’ll be able to see the sculptures. Go between them and dance!
For the second part, you need to dance between three dinosaurs. To get to the dinosaurs, you need to go south of Paradise Palms at I9 on the grid. Down on the bend towards the lower part of the area, you’ll be able to see the three coloured dinosaurs. Go between the dinos and do some sweet dance moves to finish it. The final one requires you to dance between four hot springs. These are located to the east of the Risky Reels at G2 on the grid. Two of the springs are bigger than the other two so be aware of that. After you’ve found them, go between them and bust some crazy dance moves. And there you go, all three parts of the challenge will be finished!
Week 9 Discovery Challenge: Secret Battle Star Location
Once you’ve managed to finish all the challenges from this week, you’ll clear a discovery challenge as well. This will give you a special loading screen with some limited edition artwork for the game. However, the artwork isn’t just there for fun as it has hidden clues inside it that point you to the location of a Battle Star or a Banner. You can use the Battle Star to level up your Battle Pass by 1 tier and you can use the Banner as a profile icon. The loading screen will appear once you’ve finished all 9 weeks of challenges. This week’s loading screen features Peely the banana trying to get a treasure chest. However, looking closely will tell you the loading screen features a Viking Ship and you’ll be able to find the Battle Star for this week on it.
The Viking Ship you’re looking for is located in the snowy mountaintop village area. To get there, go to the Snobby Shores, turn your face to the southeast and start walking. Once you’re at the village, you’ll be able to see the boat stuck on the edge of a waterfall. Go inside the boat and you’ll spot the free hidden Battle Star for this week. Collect the battle star like every other item and finish the match to level up your Battle Pass by one tier. However, you do need to complete all the necessary challenges beforehand as the Battle Star won’t appear on the map if you haven’t.
If you still haven’t finished last week’s challenges, see our week 8 challenge guide here.
