Activision Teases Return of Fortune’s Keep Resurgence Map for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2
Activision has been sending out mystery packages to select Call of Duty: Warzone content creators, hinting at the return of the popular Fortune’s Keep Resurgence map for Season 2. The tease comes in the form of a wooden Call of Duty crate, with Call of Duty streamer Majin providing a sneak peek at the contents on Twitter. Majin’s tweet hinted that Season 2 will “KEEP” the vibes going, and upon opening the package, he revealed a small model of the map’s Winery point of interest. The model design suggests that players can expect some landscape changes, with the ground visibly busted up and splitting through the winery building.
Fortune’s Keep originally arrived in 2022 during Season 4 of Vanguard, serving as the Resurgence map alongside Warzone’s larger Caldera map. While developers at this year’s Call of Duty Next event had announced the return of Fortune’s Keep in 2024, this is the first official confirmation of a timeframe. However, it remains uncertain if the map will return at the start of the new season or during the midseason “Reloaded” update.
Season 2 of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone is set to launch on February 7, and there is a lot of speculation and anticipation for the big update. Currently, Season 1 Reloaded is live in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, featuring a crossover event with The Boys TV show.
In light of this tease, the opinion on the potential return of Fortune’s Keep Resurgence map is divided. Some fans are excited about the prospect of revisiting the popular map and exploring the rumored landscape changes. They believe that new features and alterations to the map could inject fresh excitement and challenges into the gameplay. On the other hand, some players are concerned that the return of an old map may not bring enough novelty to the game and are hoping for more substantial updates and additions in the upcoming season.
