The new MacBook Pros are in the market; the devices are now packing the 8th generation of Intel processors which means every device will at least be two times faster than its direct predecessor. We have seen that the 13-inch MacBook Pro also has a Quad-core processor which means the performance difference between both devices is not that huge now, it is still big, the 15-inch MacBook pro can never be compared to the 13-inch model, but the performance difference is somewhat narrow now.
These new devices have many benefits over the last models, while some improvements that people were longing for are not there, e.g., the Butterfly Keyboard. MacBook is largely considered as a device that is only used for productivity purposes, but Apple has been listening to its consumers, and we got an update at the start of the year that allowed its users to connect to the eGPUs, the devices that convert the productivity oriented laptops into gaming machines.
Following to this Apple released a product that will work alongside the new MacBook Pros and will augment the Graphics power of these devices. Apple was working with a digital cinema based company Blackmagic on an external GPU that will work best with Apple devices, and as a result, we got a device powered by AMD Radeon pro 580 8GB.
It will provide the necessary Graphics processing that the MacBooks lack and enhance the experience of gamers, creative personnel, audio engineers, and content creators. The eGPU has the integrated graphics card which has some advantages and disadvantages as well such as users do not require to add their own graphics card and the upgradability of the GPU is affected since you cannot change the Graphics processor.
The design aspect of the GPU shows that it is a device that will work alongside Apple products the lustrous grey Aluminum finish that looks great alongside the MacBook. Apple says that it will give the 2.5 times performance boost on the 15-inch MacBook Pro and eight times performance boost on the 13-inch model.
