Vapes can be an important mean for people to quit or avoid smoking. However, that isn’t exactly the only reason they are used. Vaping has been considered a common and safe recreation among the youth. Over the years, it has gained popularity to the point where it’s actually now a thing. There are countless communities providing useful information regarding this fairly new activity.
As it got more common, the devices have also gotten more sophisticated, from the overall design to specs and features. There was once a time, vapes just resembled pens and would only last a couple of hours while being disposable. Now, everything has changed. You can not only use a device for a longer period of time while having the ability to refill it but can also customize it to your liking and specification needs.
The result of all this popularity is that there are now countless products to choose from. For someone who is fairly new to the world of vaping or is even thinking of starting, the process of choosing the best product might be a bit overwhelming. There’s no such thing as an absolutely perfect device. Everyone has their own list of priorities when it comes to specifications and prices.
To help combat the initial hurdle of choosing the perfect device, we’ve compiled a list of 12 of the best vapes in the market right now. They all have their own pros and cons but one thing that’s common in all of these is that they do contain nicotine. Have a look at their specs and features and choose the one you prefer.
1. JUSTFOG FOG1
- 2ml liquid capacity. Refillable.
- 1500mAh rechargeable battery.
- LED Battery indicator.
- Child Lock.
- Premium build quality.
- Top refill design.
- Short-circuit/overcharge/overheating protection.
- Micro-USB charging port.
- 15W and 24W power outputs (depending on what coil you use).
- Price: $32.59
Starting off this list, we have the JUSTFOG FOG1. It is an ultra-portable vape pen that’s easy to operate and carry around. The design is something you’d expect from a vape pen. The body is sleek and cylindrical. It is made from stainless steel, which adds to the quality and sturdiness of the device but does add to the weight. If you care about customization then you’ll be disappointed to know that there are only two colors to choose from; Silver and Black.
The build quality isn’t the only good thing about the FOG1. With a battery capacity of 1500mAh, it is guaranteed to last well over 12 hours. Because of a smart battery protection system, you can even use the FOG1 while charging, which is unheard of in the world of vapes. For $32.59, it is reasonably priced considering its capabilities. I would have to say, however, that it is underpowered considering that it maxes out at just 24W. But hey, because of that you get a better battery life, which can be improved if you use it at 15W.
2. Autloops 2.0
- 650mAh rechargeable battery.
- Multi-color LED battery indicator integrated into the liquid level window.
- Premium build quality.
- Variable Voltage operation.
- Micro USB charging port.
- Price: $28.69
The Autloops 2.0 is a simple box mod that’ll just get the job done. Regardless, the body is made out of metal for the extra premium feel in your hands. The added benefit if this is increased durability which will be a peace of mind if you have butterfingers. The rounded edges make this more ergonomic than other box mods. This device also has the coolest integration of an LED indicator and a liquid level window. I love it and I wish more brands would follow suit. As far as colors go, however, you only get two options: Black and Silver.
The performance of the 2.0, unfortunately, isn’t as impressive as its design. It only has a 650mAh battery which, by vapes standard, isn’t exactly ideal if you intend to use this the whole day. However, it isn’t exactly a powerful device so it can manage. 6-7 hours of continuous use. At $28.69 I would have to say that this is borderline expensive for what it is. Had it been slightly more sophisticated with better specs or even a larger battery it would’ve been quite a value.
3. HUAXIANG Vape 80W
- 1600mAh rechargeable battery.
- 2.5ml tank capacity.
- LED display.
- Elegant Design.
- Leak-Proof.
- 80W max power output.
- Micro USB charging port.
- Price: $29.99
Now, I know this sounds like a cheap Chinese knockoff of a much more premium product, but I can assure you that it is not. The HUAXIANG Vape 80W features a box mod design that’s made out of Zinc Alloy and Carbon Fibre. This results in a product that feels highly premium while looking stunning with the colored carbon fiber weave. You do get color options, however, if I were to get one, I’d go for the Black and Red one as shown in the picture. It’s easily the best-looking vape in this list.
Looks aside, the Vape 80W does pack some punch under the hood. You get a 1600W battery that’ll easily get you a day’s use. However, when it does run out of juice, it’ll take 2-3 hours to fully charge, so keep that in mind before leaving in a hurry. The power output is adjustable and can go all the way to 80W, which is considered the sweet spot. At just $29.99, it’s easily the best bang for your buck. However, do keep in mind that HUAXIANG is not a well-known brand so its products might lack safety features that larger brands implement.
4. Atman Owar QDC
- 1100mAh rechargeable battery.
- Compact design.
- Micro USB charging port.
- Triple Quartz Coil with a ceramic plate.
- Container lined with Silicon.
- LED battery/mode indicator.
- Three temperature settings.
- Price: $33.99
The Atman Owar QDC is just another example of a small brand making a simple vape pen without any compromise on quality. The chassis is made of metal which has a reassuring weight to it without making it heavy. The metal construction also results in enhanced durability, which means you don’t have to worry about it breaking if it falls. I like how the LED light is integrated on the outer rim of the power button. That is definitely a good piece of compact design.
The 1100mAh battery of the Owar QDC makes sure you get the most out your vaporizer without the hassle of charging multiple times a day. Unlike most vapes out there, this comes with a Triple Quartz Coil, as opposed to a DOuble Quartz one. This is claimed to enhance the flavor of the hit, combined with the ceramic plate. At $33.99, it does seem to be a bit pricey for what it is. However, you do get a simple, east to use and a reliable vape. If you prioritize that then this is for you.
5. Geekvape Aegis Solo
- 4ml tank capacity.
- 5-100W power output range.
- 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery (that’s over 1000mAh).
- Sturdy build weighing 112g.
- Short circuit, overcharging, and overheat protection.
- Shockproof and IP67 dust/water resistant.
- Micro USB charging port.
- Price: $64.00
As you can see in the picture above, the Geekvape Aegis Solo looks like it has been made with durability in mind. And that is exactly the case with it being IP67 rated for water and dust resistance. The rest of the design is also bold with angular lines while maintaining the silhouette of a traditional box mod vape. As far as color choice goes, you have 6 choices. However, do note that regardless of the color choice, most of the most will be black while only the accents get colored.
The department where the Aegis Solo truly shines is the battery life. As mentioned earlier, it uses a 18650 Li-ion cell that’s easily replaceable. Geekvape hasn’t given us any official capacity but we do know that 18650 batteries start over 10000mAh, which makes this, by far, the most potent battery. But then again it has to have all that juice in order to power a device that can reach a power output of 100W. At $64, this does lean towards the pricier side but it does make for a good value if you consider its quality and features. Check it out here.
6. XFDSEXFS VAPE Leisure
- 1500mAh rechargeable battery.
- Micro USB charging port.
- LED battery/operation display.
- Excellent build quality.
- 80W max power output.
- Price: $29.99
The XFDSEXFS VAPE Leisure may come from a brand whose name is impossible to pronounce, however, it’s one solid contender in this list. It features a box mod design with a handy LED display that shows the battery level and what power it is putting out. The chassis is made of metal, which is great in terms of premium feel but not so great in terms of grip. Thankfully, the Vape Leisure is durable enough to withstand a fall thanks to the metal construction. You’ll also be disappointed to know that it only comes in Black color.
The specs on the Vape Leisure do make up for any shortcomings it had in the design department. A 1500mAh battery paired to an 80W atomizer is the magical combination that every vape lover needs. It will surely give you the best hit with enough juice to last a day’s use without breaking a sweat. $29.99 for these specs seems reasonable enough. However, do note that no one has probably heard of XFDSEXFS before so reliability might be an issue here.
7. Juul
- 0.7ml pod capacity.
- 200mAh rechargeable battery.
- Amazing build quality.
- LED battery/operation indicator.
- Simple design with portable dimensions.
- USB charger with magnetic contact points.
- Price: $49.99
Here it is, the most popular vape in the world right now. Juul has taken the market by storm. The company advertised this product as a safe and simple alternative to smoking and that’s exactly what it is. Of all the products we’ve seen, this has the smallest footprint and is the easiest to use. The design is also remarkably simple while the build quality top notch. However, you won’t get much choice in terms of customization as there are two colors to choose from and they look almost the same.
Coming to the actual specs. The 200mAh battery and 0.7ml pod size might put you off. However, they are a part of this device’s charm. It is not intended to be used for longer periods. Regardless, a single pod will give you 200 puffs without breaking a sweat. The battery life is also not that bad, easily lasting a day. Because of its smaller size, it does charge rather quickly too. Price wise, $49.99 might sound a bit too expensive for a starter kit even if you factor in a USB charger and 4 flavor pods that come with the device.
However, compared to everything else in this list, the quality is what defines the price tag and for me, this might just be worth it. If you’re interested in this simple solution to quitting smoking, check it out here.
8. VaporFi VAIO GO
- 3ml liquid capacity.
- 2000mAh rechargeable battery.
- Micro USB charging port.
- Portable design.
- LED battery indicator.
- Adjustable airflow.
- Short circuit protection.
- Excellent build quality with tactile buttons.
- 77W max power output.
- Price: $44.99
Design-wise, the VaporFi VAIO GO is fairly simple; a sleek cylinder with a mouthpiece at the top. I love the build quality and durability of this device despite having a glass tank. Because of the premium materials, it does have some heft to it but it isn’t enough to make it inconvenient to carry around. You have 3 colors to choose from, which look great on this finish.
The best feature about this is possibly the battery. 2000mAh really does its charm and will last you over a day without a sweat. Similarly, the charging speed is also phenomenal considering the battery size. Users claim 2 hours from dead to full, which is remarkable. For $44.99, you get, along with the device, a USB cable, a 0.5 Ohm Atomizer, a 1.5 Ohm Atomizer, a DTL mouthpiece, and an MTL mouthpiece. This does result in good value for money. You can check it out here.
9. Jac Vapour S17
- 900mAh rechargeable battery.
- 1.8ml tank capacity.
- Good build quality.
- Rubberized surface for better grip.
- LED battery/operation indicator.
- Fully customizable (apart from colors).
- Price: $31.10
The Jac Vapour S17, features a design similar to the VaporFi VAIO GO, that we saw earlier. It has a sleek cylindrical shape with a mouth-piece at the top. However, unlike the VAIO GO, this has a slightly different finish to the outer body. As mentioned earlier, it is rubberized, which allows for a phenomenal grip. Needless to say, you won’t be dropping this anytime soon. As far as color choice goes, you only get 4 options, which may not seem much but, thankfully, there are other customizations like changing the mouthpiece and the coil.
900mAh is an impressive battery capacity for a vape like this but it falls short of the whopping 2000mAh one in the VAIO GO. Same is the case with the tank capacity. However, I really don’t think that matters as the configuration on the S17 is more than enough to last you a full day, which is what most consumers prefer. It also doesn’t take a lot of time to charge it, which just adds to the convenience. Lastly, at $31.10, the price of the Jac Vapour S17 is reasonable. It costs $13 cheaper than the VAIO GO, which is understandable considering its specs. I could go with either and be happy about it. If you’re liking this, check it out here.
10. XFDSEXFS VAPE High Power
- 1500mAh rechargeable battery.
- 0.91″ LED battery/operation display.
- Premium build quality.
- Micro USB charging port.
- Max 150W power output.
- Price: $45.99
The XFDSEXFS VAPE High Power is the second entry on this list from the same company, which is weird considering no one’s never heard of it. Just like the Vape Leisure, this is also made from high-quality materials. You get the same metal chassis that feels extremely premium in the hands. However, along with that, this also uses beautiful weaved Carbon Fiber on the sides that makes it look stunning. You also have a useful LED display that shows your battery level and power mode.
Speaking of power, the Vape High Power, as the name might suggest, is one of the most powerful vapes in this list, maxing out at 150W. It’s amazing how such a small brand can produce something this powerful. However, it could’ve done with a bigger battery as well. It has a 1500mAh one which, in normal scenarios, isn’t that bad. But using it at 150W will result in it draining quite a lot frequently as you’d like. Nevertheless, at $45.99 it is a reasonable buy though I still hold my opinions regarding XFDSEXFS as a non-reliable brand.
11. Vandy Vape Jackaroo
- 3.5ml and 5ml tank capacity options.
- 20700 replaceable Li-ion battery.
- IP67 water/dust resistant.
- 5-100W power output range.
- Shockproof chassis with pyrex glass tanks.
- 0.91″ TFT OLED display.
- Overtime/Atomizer/Low Power/Short Circuit/Overheat protection.
- Price: $59.95
As you can tell by the design and the features, the Vandy Vape Jackaroo is a direct competitor to the Geekvape Aegis Solo, that we saw earlier. However, with this device, the customization options are nearly endless. If you prefer individuality over everything else, this is the vape for you. The rest of the design is a typical box mod style. You do have a rubberized outer surface with ridges for optimum grip. In case, it does fall then fret not, it is shockproof and water-resistant all at the same time.
The 20700 battery that does in this is not rechargeable so you’ll have to replace it when it runs out. However, it is recommended that with vapes that can reach 100W of power, it’s safer to use a replaceable battery than a rechargeable one. Regardless, the cell will last you quite a while before you need to replace it, so you’re covered from that front. As far as price is concerned, at just $59.95, it is $4 cheaper than the Aegis Solo. While most people prefer the Aegis over this, I would personally go for the Jackaroo because of the customization and the additional display. If you’re like me and want to buy the Vandy Vape Jackaroo, you can do so here.
12. Cartisan Black Box
- 900mAh rechargeable battery.
- Can fit any 510 cartridges.
- Liquid Level Windows.
- LED battery indicators.
- Rubberized build for extra grip.
- Micro USB charging port.
- Variable Voltage
- Price: $23.99
The last entry in our list also happens to be a box mod, however, it’s not as extreme as the previous entries in terms of design. The chassis is made out of a rubberized material that feels nice and secure in your hands. In case it does fall, it won’t get damaged that easily as the rubber provides some cushioning. In terms of customization, box mods have proven to be the best. You can use any 510 compatible cartridge and this will work flawlessly with it. It’s a shame that the only color choice you have is Black.
The 900mAh battery is adequate considering which Voltage mode you use. If you go all out at 4.0V then don’t expect it to last as much as the competition. Now at $23.99, I would normally say that it is a great value for money. However, the Black Box does not come with a cartridge on its own. You just get the base along with some accessories and that’s it. A separate cartridge can cost an extra $5 over this, which will bring the price up so bear that in mind.
