Resident Evil VIII is one of the most anticipated games on the horizon. Interestingly it is also one of the most leaked games right now. The insiders keep feeding the gamers periodically with new details and rumors about the game, most of which prove out to be true. This time we have a leak from Biohazard Declassified. They have brought some in-depth details of RE Village with the help of Dusk Golem, a proven Capcom insider.
The leak talks about the start of the storyline as well as some of the enemies the players will encounter in the game. They were able to get their hands on this information due to a Resident Evil Village demo, which some of the insiders had permission to play. Needless to say, the rest of this article contains details of the story; hence there are potential spoilers ahead. We suggest you go back if you want a fresh start to the game.
Prologue:
Now we already know that Resident Evil Village will be a continuation in the story to Resident Evil 7. Ethan Winters will once again return as the main character of the game. Also, as we saw in the first trailer of Resident Evil Village, Chirs Redfield is going to appear this time, and he will do something terrible to Mia.
According to Biohazard Declassified, RE Village will begin with Mia reading Fairytale to a child Rose. In this time, you play as Ethan, and he can explore the house and find various notes and items. The records indicate that his family is free of the “mold.” Ethan has also done some training with Chris since we last saw them in RE7.
The player takes Rose from Mia and puts her to bed and then returns downstairs to Mia, where she’s preparing supper. The player can hear the faint sounds of sirens outside and also find out that the Winters family has relocated to Europe. Then as Ethan starts to discuss the events of RE7 with Mia, Chris Redfield appears with two masked henchmen in the house and sends off Mia.
He then kidnaps Ethan and Rose, but the vehicle carrying them crashed soon afterward, which leads us to the sequence in-game trailer where Ethan must survive the snowy landscape. As in the trailer, Ethan then gets to a cabin and meets an older man who dies shortly after, and Ethan has to defend the cabin from several enemies leading to a classic Resident Evil Gameplay.
Enemies and other Character Details:
We have already seen and know that there will be werewolf-like “Beastmen: in the Resident Evil Village. In the latest leak, we get more information that they will have pack-Like AI, and they will try to surround and outmaneuver the player. Also, there are some interesting new enemies like the “Gorilla Man,” which wields an enormous ax and looks in charge of the Beastmen. There is also an anonymous rider who uses a spear and his horse.

As for friendly characters in addition to the unlucky older man in the trailer, there is a mature woman that we saw in the first trailer of the game. She is a new version of the merchant from Resident Evil 4. She will sell the players various items, Weapon Upgrades, and some rumors about the town. We will see a weapon upgrade tree in RE village, which will allow players to increase weapon effectiveness and unlock new parts.
While Dusk Golem and Biohazard Declassified have delivered competent and accurate leaks in the past, we will advise the readers to take this information with a pinch of salt as we always do. Nothing is final before the game release, but al this information does look pretty impressive.
