The smartphone camera technology is improving and innovating every year which gives more of a reason to leave your DSLR at home. Dual camera setups on the smartphones have become a standard even for the lower end devices and some manufacturers have even gone for the triple camera setup.
Recently, a video released by MySmartPrice on their Youtube channel unveiled the Nokia 9 PureView. The video shows that the smartphone features a whopping 5 camera setup at the back. Some images have also been leaked which showcases Zeiss branding above the middle lens.
This multiple lens setup has been inspired by L16 made by Light which is a Silicon Valley based startup company. The company first came out with its own 16 sensor camera called the L16 back in 2017. This camera used low-cost sensors having different focal lengths and aperture to capture multiple images and then merged them to make a single high definition image.
The Nokia 9 PureView works similarly to the L16 but uses 5 different sensors instead on 16. Theoretically, this will allow you to capture very high-res images, blur free HDR photos, much more optical zoom and more control over the depth of field. We will have to wait and see if the Nokia 9 can actually deliver this amazing camera performance.
Some other specs were also leaked, like the Nokia 9 will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor paired up with 6 Gigs of RAM and 128 Gigs of internal storage. It will also have an in-display fingerprint scanner. The front-facing camera will have a resolution of 21 megapixels with a pretty impressive f/1.8 aperture.
According to a Geekbench report, it is also possible that Nokia 9 will come with 8 Gigabytes RAM and 256 Gigabytes internal storage configuration. Nothing can be said for sure right now as these results can also be faked.
When is the Nokia 9 PureView releasing? It appears that the smartphone will be launched at MWC 2019 which kicks off in Barcelona in late February. So that is all that we know, we will post more about it once we have the details. If you have any queries then make sure to drop down a comment below.
