The groundbreaking 2019 first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been a part of top multiplayer games since its release. The game, alongside its battle royale counterpart Warzone, has received multiple seasons and updates now. Each season brings in new features and loadouts.
New weapons and loadouts are a big focus for each update and determine play style in each season. With a fantastic Season 3, the next season of the game is now live on all supported platforms of the game. With each season update, the game developers continue to add new features and bug fixes.
Some of the new features in Season 4 are bigger sized lobbies. We now have support for 200 player lobbies. The bigger lobbies mean that there will be more players, and the multiplayer experience of the game will become more competitive.
There are also a couple of small fixes in the new season update. The patch fixes player spawn out of the map in the scrapyard. The glitch that made it for some people unable to use battle pass content is also fixed. Lastly, there is also now a Gaz bundle for players.
The best weapons and loadouts in Call of Duty: Warzone
Besides all these new features, the main concern for gamers is the guns in each season. There are new guns and changes to the older ones in each season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This is a list of the best guns in Season 4 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for each tier and setup.
1. Bruen MK9
The first, in the list, is the Bruen MK9 this LMG came during the midseason update of season 3 and is perhaps the best Light Machine Gun in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare arsenal. By default, this gun offers minimal recoil and great control. The damage is also excellent overall ranges. This is such a versatile gun and offers so many attachments and upgradability that once maxed out, it rarely feels like an LMG.
One of the possible upgrade combinations for this weapon is XRK Horizon barrel, Commando Foregrip, 60 round mag, stippled grip tape, and no stock. This combination gives this beast of a gun no recoil and ultimate mobility. This LMG, with its decent range and excellent playability in the hands of the right player, can outclass most of the games Assault Rifles.
2. PKM
The next gun is also an LMG. Just like the Bruen, the PKM packs a lot of versatility and damage in it. The long-range, high-damage, and ease of use make this gun a nightmare for the enemies. It packs a lot of upgradability. The upgradability path of each arm depends on player preference. So, the gun gives you plenty of room to be flexible and experiment.
The PKM, however, can be configured to provide the right mix of mobility and damage. One such configuration can be the Compact barrel, Tac laser, Snatch grip, Stippled Grip tape, and no Stock. Although some players might not recommend compact barrel as the barrels that decrease bullet velocity also reduce the range, the PKM, however, does not take a big hit.
3. Fennec
Now in the new weapons of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4, we have Fennec. This gun is similar to the vector that we have seen in the past in various games. At the base level, the weapon is far from perfect the range is low, and the damage is minimum too. Although once maxed out, this gun proves to be a champion in close-quarters combat, the massive fire rate, if used correctly, is a great ally.
So for those planning to use this gun, it is definitely for close-range fights and in that the enemies don’t have a chance to outrun you.
The gun does not have a lot of recoil, so upgrades on this gun take a different path. A right combination would be the Deadfall barrel, which acts as a suppressor, merc foregrip to further increase the control, 40 round mag to compensate for that insane fire rate, and sleight of hand perk will also be useful to have since this is close quarters. You’ll be reloading this gun quite often.
4. M4A1
This next gun is probably the best in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer. The M4A1 has been the top gun in the game since it launched, and with season four update, the weapon remains just as elegant as it was in the last three seasons. The bare gun performs so well that for those playing COD for a while, this isn’t much convincing needed to switch to this option.
The upgrades on this weapon are also quite simple. All you need is a right barrel according to you play style an under-barrel grip, and a rear grip is your usage needs it. The stock on this gun is also removable for increased mobility.
5. CR-56 AMAX
Another great weapon in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 DLC is the CR-56 AMAX. Also known as the Galil, this gun has had mixed reviews from the start. Some players like it but others think its a little bland. The AMAX, in our opinion, is a powerhouse with extreme damage. The range and controllability of the weapon are also better once upgrades are unlocked, and the right components are paired with it.
Players can use Zodiac barrel to increase the range in this gun. Similarly, the control can be improved using an under-barrel upgrade like commando foregrip. You can also go no stock with this gun as well to improve mobility. The Amax offers excellent range and damage, the recoil pattern does take some time to learn, but once players familiarize themselves with it, this gun is a treat.
6. MP5
In the sub-machine gun category, MP5 is the ruling champ in the game from the start. This gun quickly takes the second spot in the game right next to M4A1. It has changed little to none from the start. If your play style requires a weapon for close-range and high fire rate, nothing can go wrong with choosing MP5. Pair this with a right barrel, grip, ammo, and stock upgrades, and this gun becomes a beast.
7. RAM-7
Lastly, RAM-7 is one of the first weapons to be included Call of Duty: Modern Warfare this year. This rifle, like some others in the game, performs surprisingly good at short and medium-range. The gun also performs respectably at longer ranges. The gun does have some weaknesses.
The recoil pattern on this is not optimal, and the upgrades aiming towards improving the recoil will help this weapon more. Using a compensator is a good practice with this weapon. A ranger barrel can also help with the range. The rounds on this gun can also be upgraded to 50, which is an excellent addition.
While there are plenty of other viable options to choose from in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, we feel like these guns sit on top of the pyramid when it comes to sheer firepower.
