The latest update for the popular video game Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been released, bringing the version number up to 1.3.0. Developed by Nintendo and Monolith Soft, the update includes the newest paid downloadable content for the Game’s Expansion Pass Wave 3.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been enormously successful, with Game of the Year nominations from The Game Awards 2022 and the Golden Joystick Awards.

Since the release of Expansion Pass 3 on February 15, 2023, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been updated to version 1.2.0 to add compatibility for the new DLC and make some changes to in-game specifications.

The latest update has added compatibility for the third wave of content included in the Game’s Expansion Pass, along with several fixes related to Challenge Battles, Mio’s Chain Order, enemy models, and other aspects. It was expected that an update (version 1.3.0) would follow to enable the new content provided by the DLC.

As new downloadable content (DLC) is regularly added to Xenoblade Chronicles 3, there may be bugs or issues that crop up and need to be fixed in subsequent updates to ensure that players have a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience.

Modern video games are often designed with online components and interconnected systems, which require constant maintenance and updates to ensure a stable and enjoyable gameplay experience.

Updates often address bugs, glitches, and other issues that players may encounter, as well as balancing mechanics to make the game more fair and enjoyable for all players.

By implementing updates, game developers can improve the Game’s overall quality and keep players engaged by adding new content, fixing issues, and ensuring a smooth experience for everyone. This is why updates are considered an important part of modern gaming and are often necessary to keep a game alive and relevant.

There will be more patches released for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 in the future. The fact that the Game’s fourth wave of DLC is already being teased implies that the developers are committed to supporting the Game with additional content. Reports suggest that given the franchise’s success and popularity among gamers, Nintendo will continue to focus on improving the Game’s mechanics and overall player experience. It is not known when Xenoblade Chronicles 4 will be released, but in the meantime, it is recommended that fans of the current Game anticipate more updates.

This new content includes a new hero, Masha, and additional challenge modes for players to enjoy. The update also includes bug fixes to improve the overall user experience. Those who have purchased the Expansion Pass can access the new content after installing the update.

New Features

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Patch 1.3.0 includes the addition of compatibility for the latest Expansion Pass Wave 3 DLC. This means players who have purchased the DLC can access the new content after installing the update. The compatibility update ensures that the Game can properly load and display the new content provided by the DLC, allowing players to enjoy the new features and gameplay mechanics that come with it. In addition, the update may also include other unspecified improvements or enhancements to the Game’s performance and overall functionality.

Bug Fixes

Here are the bug fixes that were included in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 update 1.3.0:

  • Fixed an issue where enemy models were placed where the name and enemy did not match.
  • Fixed an issue where some Testudos were called “Armadillos” and some Armadillos were called “Velites.”
  • Fixed an issue where leveling from Class Rank 9 to 10 when clearing the final battle would not unlock Appearances that should be unlocked.
  • Fixed an issue where completing Roald, Fla’ran, and Zooza Collectopedia entries would cause them to display the initial reward.
  • Fixed an issue in Challenge Battles where lowering the Effects volume in Audio Settings would still cause battle sounds and footsteps to sound comparatively loud.
  • Fixed an issue where sliding down a rope using a specific timing would cause party members to continuously be KO’d and resurrected.
  • Fixed an issue where pressing buttons using a specific timing during a loading screen would cause the Battle Menu to appear after launching the Game.
  • Fixed an issue where completing Mio’s Chain Order would not cause Attacker and Healer hate to decrease.

Overall, these bug fixes were intended to improve the gameplay experience by addressing issues players may have encountered during their game playthroughs.

Additionally, the release of new expansion passes has added more content to the Game, which has been well-received by fans. With the announcement of Expansion Pass Wave 4, players can expect more updates in the future to ensure that the Game remains fresh and enjoyable.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is only available for the Nintendo Switch console, both in retail stores and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch worldwide. It is not available on any other gaming platforms
