Battle Royale is a genre that has been the mainstay in the gaming realm for many years now. Dozens of games have come out during those years that have tried to put their own spin on battle royale and claim the throne that the behemoths like Fortnite, PUBG, Warzone, and Apex Legends continue to share. However, during the past year or so, things have started to reach equilibrium as the genre reaches saturation and now, it is incredibly hard for a new BR game to make any significant impact. Newer entrants like Hyper Scape and Naraka Bladepoint have failed to grab the battle royale audience as much as they would have hoped. So, one must ask the question that is there even any space left for new Battle Royale experiences anymore? Well, Wonder People, the developers behind Super People seem to think so.
Super People, at first glance, might look like a PUBG clone as the game’s aesthetic and map are heavily inspired by the breakthrough battle royale game. However, there’s a lot more going on under the surface that has made Super People a highly-anticipated game. Firstly, as the name suggests, the people in Super People are, well, super. This means that each player can select a class of playable heroes that have their own unique abilities and traits, kinda like Apex Legends. However, as compared to Apex, Super People turns the whole ability thing up to eleven and really elevates the super aspect of a super-soldier. Not only that but Super People also introduces the idea of progression within a battle royale setting, something that is brand new to the genre.
Usually, in a Battle Royale game, you jump into a map and look for the best gear possible. If you’re lucky, you get great weapons and armor, allowing you to fight to the end. However, in Super People, the goal is to actively level up and make your character stronger and thus unlocking new and more powerful abilities along the way. An apt comparison would be a MOBA, where your hero levels up as you progress through the match. However, not only does Super People reward you for engaging and eliminating enemies, but it also encourages survival by consistently feeding you with experience.
Each skill in Super People comes with its own corresponding color and can be upgraded by finding a capsule of that particular color. In addition to that, each player has the chance to progress through 27 levels in a match with the ultimate ability unlocking at level 10. These abilities are very much akin to the ultimate abilities in games like Overwatch, Valorant, or Apex Legends but even stronger. Furthermore, just like Fortnite adds the building element to the usual battle royale rush, Super People adds crafting into the mix.
Players in Super People can actually craft weapons and equipment by collecting materials dotted around the map. So, even if you were not lucky enough to get your hands on the early good loot, you can craft your way to the top and end the match on equal footing. This mechanic makes jumping into a new match and waiting it out much more compelling as in other Battle Royale games, if you don’t manage to find good weapons, the hill you have to climb to match other players is extremely steep.
Another area where Super People really excels is in its visual design. Aesthetically, it looks like Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds. However, the graphical fidelity of this game is just miles above PUBG. Everything from the animation quality to the fluidity of movement just feels so much more refined and satisfying, which adds a whole new dimension of fun to the gameplay. The map is also surprisingly diverse, with lush fields and some very Fortnite-esque areas.
Super People is also one of the first battle royale games to really push the graphical boundaries of the genre by bringing real-time raytracing into the mix. So, if you have an NVIDIA RTX or AMD Radeon RX6000 series graphics card, prepare yourself for a visual feast. With that said, the game is still in a closed beta test stage right now meaning that it isn’t quite ready for mass-market yet. However, you can still sign up for the beta and jump in to test it out for yourself.
Super People performance issues:
Sadly, since Super People is still in its beta stages, the game is just not quite optimized well enough for people with mid-range and budget machines. Even higher-end PCs struggle to run the game at target framerates and players have to turn down the settings to enjoy an optimal experience. Not only that but Super People also suffers from a lot of other performance issues like Low FPS, Frame drops, stutters, crashes, freezes, jitters, and many more. Players have been very vocal in the online communities about these issues. However, the developer still deserves some leeway in this particular case since the game is not even actually out yet.
Having said that, despite the fact that Super People is still in beta, those who are a part of the test should be able to enjoy the game without any issues. Unfortunately, getting to the point where the game is stable and well-optimized for most players out of the gate doesn’t seem like an easy task. And, while new patches do fix some things for the performance in Super People, they are still not quite up to the mark. Thankfully, there are still some little tweaks and fixes that you could apply for your GPU and game settings for Super People that could massively boost your FPS and improve performance as you wait for the next big patch. So, if you are suffering from low FPS, lag, stutters, freezes, framerate drops, or crashes in super people, try one of the fixes below!
Super People System Requirements:
Before we get to the actual fixes though, you need to first make sure that your PC is powerful enough to run Super People well in the first place. As stated above, Super People is a step above the rest when it comes to visual fidelity and also introduces modern graphical elements into the mix like Real-time Raytracing. All of these things bump up the required specifications for the game, resulting in a performance drop for those who are used to older battle royale games. With that said, while the required PC specifications for Super People are higher than other Battle Royale games out there, most people with decent mid-range builds should be able to play the game without any issues.

1. Optimal Graphics Settings for Super People:
As we have established, Super People is a relatively demanding game and will require you to turn down some settings even if you have a powerful PC. Initially, the game will automatically detect your specs and assign a preset. However, these presets are extremely standardized and do not represent the optimal settings that can really improve performance. The key to changing these settings though is to fine-tune them in a way where you do not lose visual fidelity while gaining performance. These include things like shadow quality and post-processing effects, which are things that are notoriously taxing on the hardware but do not elevate the graphical experience by much.
We have tested Super People on a bunch of different machines and have found the perfect mix of visuals and performance, which will be good enough for most people. If you have a lower-end PC though, we suggest turning our optimal settings down by an additional step and then seeing the results. Here are the optimal graphics settings to boost FPS in Super People:
- Resolution – 1920 x 1080
- Display Mode – Full Screen
- Rendering Size – 100
- Maximum Frame Rate Limit – Unlimited
- Limit Lobby Frame Rate – Unlimited
- V-Sync – Disabled
- NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency – Disabled
- Field of View – 100
- Textures – Medium
- Shadows – Low
- View Distance – Medium
- Foliage – Low
- Effects – Medium
- Shader- Medium
- Anti-Aliasing – High
- Post Processing – Low
- Depth of Field – Disabled
2. Download the latest NVIDIA and AMD Drivers:
Super People is a new game and whenever a new game is released, graphics card manufacturers push out driver updates for their GPUs that help with optimizations. These optimizations are necessary to get the best performance out of your GPU for the game, which, in this case, is Super People. And, while there isn’t exactly a game-ready driver for Super People, the latest set of driver updates from both AMD and NVIDIA have been known to provide a great deal of performance improvement.
If you do not have automatic updates turned on, chances are that you are still using an older driver version on your PC. Usually, people do not update their drivers automatically as some versions have been known to cause issues. However, you should still keep them up to date once you’re sure that the latest drivers are safe for use. So, just head over to your GPU utility and update your drivers. You can also download and update the drivers directly from the websites by clicking on the links given below.

3. Change Graphics Card Options:
Another thing that has worked for improving performance is the adjustment of proprietary graphics card settings. Both NVIDIA and AMD have their own suite of features that are supposedly there to improve performance or visuals. However, some of them can sacrifice performance a bit too much while not improving the visual quality. Furthermore, these options also include a lot of post-processing filters, which you absolutely do not need. So, adjust the following settings for NVIDIA and AMD Graphics cards:
AMD GPU Settings:
If you are an AMD graphics card user, open the AMD Radeon Software, click Gaming, and select Global Graphics. If you wish to adjust these settings for Super People only, you can select the game instead. Now, change the following settings:
- Turn off Radeon Anti-Lag.
- Disable Radeon Chill.
- Enable Radeon Boost and keep it at 66.6.
- Turn off Radeon Image Sharpening.
- Disable Wait for Vertical Refresh.
- Set the Anti-Aliasing to Use Application Settings.
- Turn off Anisotropic Filtering.
- Set the Texture Filtering Quality to Performance.
- Turn off Surface Format Optimization.
- Change the Tessellation Mode to AMD Optimized.
- Enable AMD Freesync if your monitor supports it.
NVIDIA GPU Settings:
If you have an NVIDIA GPU, open the NVIDIA GeForce Control Panel, select Manage 3D Settings, and adjust the following settings under Global Settings:
- Change the Power Management to Performance Mode.
- Enable Threaded Optimization.
- Turn off Image Sharpening Mode.
- Disable Low Latency Mode.
- Change Pre-rendered Frames to 1.
- Set the Texture Filtering Quality to Performance Mode.
- Turn on G-Sync if your monitor supports it.
Super People is currently in the closed beta testing stage on Steam. You can sign up for it and check it out right here.
