Minisforum has introduced its newest product, the Venus UM773 Mini PC, equipped with the advanced AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor.
This mini PC is currently available in China, with a more affordable version set to launch in the United States. Additionally, Minisforum has updated its entire lineup of mini PCs that utilize AMD processors.
One of the recently updated mini PCs from Minisforum, the MBG6, is particularly noteworthy due to its utilization of the powerful AMD Ryzen 7 5700X CPU, which is a new addition to the company’s lineup. With its desktop-class capabilities, this mini PC is anticipated to provide exceptional performance and has generated significant interest among tech enthusiasts who are eagerly awaiting more information about its release.
The UM773 Lite from MINISFORUM also utilizes the Ryzen 7 7735HS processor found in the Venus UM773. This processor is essentially a rebranding of the Ryzen 7 6800HS, with only slight changes such as an increased TDP and a boost clock speed of 50 MHz. Despite these changes, our tests showed only a 5% improvement in performance over the Ryzen 7 6800HS.
The UM773 Lite, a recently launched product by MINISFORUM, offers two USB 2.0 Type-A connections, which replaces two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports available in the Venus UM773 and Venus UM690 models.
While the USB Type-C port in the UM773 Lite is not specified as supporting the USB 3.2 Gen2 standard, it can still operate at a maximum bandwidth of 10 Gbps, consistent with the Venus UM773 and Venus UM690.
Minisforum plans to offer the UM773 Lite in five various configurations and will commence shipping the product by the end of March.
MINISFORUM’s latest product line, the UM773 Lite Mini PC, includes the most advanced AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, with an integrated AMD Radeon 680M graphics card, dual-channel DDR5 memory, PCIe 4.0 SSD, and a state-of-the-art USB4 Type-C port. This processor is part of the Ryzen 7000 series and has eight cores and sixteen threads, a 3.2 GHz base clock speed, 4.75GHz maximum turbo clock speed, and a 54W default TDP.
The UM773 Lite Mini PC manufactured by MINISFORUM can support a range of memory configurations, allowing for up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR5-4800MHz memory storage expansion.
Additionally, it features a 1×M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD and a 1×2.5 inch SATA HDD Slot (SATA 3.0 6.0Gb/s 7mm), providing users with multiple storage options to choose from.
During the recent product launch event, Minisforum unveiled the Neptune MBG6, which differs from their usual lineup as it features a desktop processor. The AMD Ryzen 7 5700X CPU powers this model, accompanied by the Radeon RX 6600 M, similar to the other members of the Neptune family, like the HX90G.
Despite the larger cache and stable gaming performance offered by the 65W desktop processor, this machine demands a more robust cooling solution. The MBG6 has been outfitted with quad fans instead of the standard dual fans to meet this need.
