As players progress through the story and spend more time playing Hogwarts Legacy, they will have the opportunity to unlock and equip a greater number of spells.
However, to effectively utilize these spells, players must acquire and use additional spell slots wisely. Throughout the game, players assume the role of a new Hogwarts student and gradually learn a diverse set of spells that can be used to aid them on their adventure.
Players commence the game with only one Spell Set that can equip a maximum of four spells concurrently. They must choose which bits to equip and use in combat, as they cannot simultaneously access all the spells they’ve learned. Initially, knowing only Lumos, Leviosa, Accio, and Incendio may suffice for players in Hogwarts Legacy, but as they unlock additional spells, this limited repertoire will become insufficient.
However, as players progress through the game, they can unlock additional Spell Sets. Each Spell Set allows players to equip another four spells, up to a maximum of four and 16 spells total.
Having multiple Spell Sets is helpful for several reasons. First, it allows players to switch between different sets of spells depending on the situation. For example, a player might have one Spell Set focused on offensive and another on defensive spells.
In Hogwarts Legacy, Spell Sets are a means for players to increase their spellcasting potential by simultaneously accessing more spells. With 31 spells available in the game, having only one Spell Set with four slots would be restricting. By unlocking more Spell Sets, players can experiment with different combinations of spells that suit their playstyle. This allows for greater customization and flexibility in their spellcasting abilities.
It’s good to know that players can unlock all four Spell Sets and have access to 16 spells at once.
Talent Points
To unlock additional Spell Sets, players can spend Talent Points. Talent Points are earned by completing missions, defeating enemies, and exploring the game world.
Players can spend their Talent Points unlocking additional Spell Sets, enabling them to simultaneously equip multiple spells.
Even with all four Spell Sets unlocked, players won’t be able to have every Spell they know active at once; they can easily switch between them using the game’s menu. This allows players to adapt to different situations and use the most effective spells against specific enemies or challenges.
How Players obtain Talent Points in Hogwarts Legacy :
Players need to advance through the game’s storyline and earn Talent Points to obtain the second Spell Set in Hogwarts Legacy. These Talent Points can be used to unlock new Talents, which allow players to access a second Spell Set. Players can reach this milestone after discovering the map chamber beneath Hogwarts relatively early in the game.
However, before this discovery, players must complete a difficult quest to explore Jackdaw’s Tomb, a spider-infested dungeon that culminates in a boss battle against a Pensieve Guardian.
After completing this quest, players can interact with the portrait of Percival Rackham to obtain Talent Points, which they can then spend on unlocking additional Spell Sets.
Players can access the Talent Tree in Hogwarts Legacy after unlocking it. By completing various activities, such as quests, defeating enemies, and exploring the game world, players can earn Talent Points that can be used to purchase Talents. Each Talent upgrades the player’s character, such as new spells, abilities, and enhancements. The more Talent Points earned, the more Talents a player can purchase, strengthening their character.
It’s important to note that Talents are organized into different categories, and you can only purchase Them in a specific variety once you’ve unlocked the previous Ones in that category. You’ll need to carefully plan how you spend your Talent Points to ensure you get the most out of your character’s abilities.
Additional Spell Collection
To unlock new Spell Sets in Hogwarts Legacy, players can use Talent Points to purchase Talents and acquire new abilities. Core Talents, including Spell Knowledge I, Spell Knowledge II, and Spell Knowledge III, unlock new Spell Sets when the player reaches level 5 and level 16. Once a new Spell Set is unlocked, players can switch between Spell Sets using the primary cast button and directional pad on controllers or using specific keys on PC.
PC players can switch between Spell Sets 1, 2, 3, and 4 using F1, F2, F3, and F4 (or 5, 6, 7, 8).
It’s important to note that each Spell Set can hold four different spells. You can easily swap spells in and out as needed to customize your character’s abilities for different situations. This allows maximum flexibility and will enable you to experiment with varying combinations of spells to find the ones that work best for you.
