Call of Duty Warzone 2: Fans Demand Removal of Armor Break Text

The Call of Duty Warzone 2 has added a feature that lets players know when their armor has been broken, which was intended to enhance the gameplay experience.

However, some fans are requesting that this feature be removed because they believe that constantly displaying text on the screen in a fast-paced game like Warzone 2 can have adverse effects on the gameplay instead of being helpful.

Warzone 2’s second season update was released on February 15, after a slight delay. The update comes with several new features, among which is the highly anticipated Ashika map that players can now access and play in DMZ mode.

The popular resurgence mode has also returned, providing players with a more fast-paced and intense version of the standard battle royale. While fans seem happy with the new features, the update fails to address several existing issues, and some new problems have arisen with the release of the season 2 update.

Fans of Warzone 2 are finding a new audio cue for broken armor in the game to be more perplexing than useful, as it has replaced the original sound cue that previously indicated an enemy’s armor was broken.

The latest expansion adds to the visual clutter on the screen and does not provide clear information about the situation.

Many fans need help adjusting to this change. One user expressed frustration in a post on Reddit, stating that distinguishing between a downed opponent and a broken armor while fighting against multiple enemies has become nearly impossible.

A Warzone 2 user explained the issue with the new armor-breaking indicator in more detail, stating that the combination of text animations and audio bias towards armor-breaking confuses high-intensity situations.

When players are fighting against multiple constantly moving opponents, the frequent text animations and audio can make it challenging to determine which opponent has been downed or whose armor has been broken. It has resulted in players mistakenly pursuing an already consumed enemy, leaving themselves vulnerable to attacks from other players.

A player named Fatboyslick shared their frustration on Reddit, and other players chimed in with similar experiences. The general consensus among players is that the new text is unnecessary and needs to be addressed by Infinity Ward, who have not yet issued an official response on the issue.

After the launch of Season 2 in Warzone 2, many fans are thrilled about the new features, but some are expressing disappointment and raising concerns.

According to these fans, Infinity Ward should focus on more important elements of the game instead of prioritizing the cosmetic aspect. Also, some are worried that the experimental DMZ mode could negatively affect the game’s balance.

However, the newly introduced Ashika map and resurgence game mode have received positive feedback from fans. Since Warzone 2 is still in its early stages, fans remain hopeful that Infinity Ward will address and fix most of the issues at some point in the future.

The Armor System in Warzone 2 has been updated to allow players to equip only two armor plates by default. To obtain a third plate, players need to find an Armor Satchel. The previous Armor System allowed players to carry up to three armor plates and hold up to five additional plates in reserve. Additionally, players could carry up to three Armor Satchels to increase their capacity.

The inaugural season of Warzone 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be concluding in slightly more than two weeks.

Although the game’s second season was initially set to launch earlier, it was delayed to February 15 to allow Infinity Ward, Raven Software, and other studios to polish the release and, hopefully, avoid game-breaking bugs.

Even though there isn’t complete information available on Season 2 of Warzone 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming reveal that will include essential details such as map alterations, new modes, the Battle Pass, and other updates. Despite this, there are some significant changes that fans have been eagerly anticipating.
