Titan Rune dungeons in World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King Classic offer players a new way to acquire loot by eliminating the need to repeatedly run multiple versions of raids in search of specific gear. These “Heroic Plus” style dungeons are a new option for players who want to learn more about them.
Titan Rune dungeons are a new level of difficulty for existing heroic dungeons in World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King Classic. To access these dungeons, players must interact with the Mysterious Device located at the entrance of each dungeon when it is set to heroic difficulty. This will activate the Titan Rune mode, and an Empowered Rune will take effect, increasing the health and damage dealt by trash mobs and bosses, along with an additional debuff depending on the dungeon. This will make the familiar dungeons more challenging but also reward a wider range of loot for completing them.
In Utgarde Keep and Utgarde Pinnacle, the Empowered Rune is Frost Rune; it increases the damage dealt by 30% and health by 100%. Melee attacks also have a chance to apply Glaciate effect on a random nearby target. In Azjol-Nerub and Ahn’kahet: The Old Kingdom, the Empowered Rune is Shadow Rune; it increases the damage dealt by 30% and health by 100%.
