With the second phase of World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King Classic arriving on January 17th, players will have access to new ways of obtaining raid-level loot through the introduction of Titan Rune dungeons, in addition to the reintroduction of the Ulduar raid and the Argent Tournament. These “Heroic Plus” style dungeons eliminate the need to run multiple versions of raids to get specific gear constantly.

Titan Rune dungeons in World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King Classic offer players a new way to acquire loot by eliminating the need to repeatedly run multiple versions of raids in search of specific gear. These “Heroic Plus” style dungeons are a new option for players who want to learn more about them.

Titan Rune dungeons are a new level of difficulty for existing heroic dungeons in World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King Classic. To access these dungeons, players must interact with the Mysterious Device located at the entrance of each dungeon when it is set to heroic difficulty. This will activate the Titan Rune mode, and an Empowered Rune will take effect, increasing the health and damage dealt by trash mobs and bosses, along with an additional debuff depending on the dungeon. This will make the familiar dungeons more challenging but also reward a wider range of loot for completing them.

In Utgarde Keep and Utgarde Pinnacle, the Empowered Rune is Frost Rune; it increases the damage dealt by 30% and health by 100%. Melee attacks also have a chance to apply Glaciate effect on a random nearby target. In Azjol-Nerub and Ahn’kahet: The Old Kingdom, the Empowered Rune is Shadow Rune; it increases the damage dealt by 30% and health by 100%. Attacks also have a chance to apply the Web Wrap effect on the victim.

In the Halls of Stone and Halls of Lightning dungeons, the Empowered Rune is Titan Rune, which increases the damage dealt by 5% and the health by 190%. There’s also a pulsing Saronite-Corrupted Titan energy that increases the damage dealt by enemies by 1% and the damage taken by 2% per stack for 12 sec.

In The Nexus, The Oculus, and The Violet Hold dungeons, the Empowered Rune is Arcane Rune, which increases the damage dealt by 30% and the health by 100%. Also, the attacks have a chance to summon Mirror Images. In The Culling of Stratholme dungeon, the Empowered Rune is Plague Rune, which increases the damage dealt by 30% and the health by 100%. Regarding the loot from Titan Rune dungeons, in addition to the Emblem of Valor that bosses drop on regular heroic difficulty, players will receive three Emblem of Conquest for defeating the final boss, with only one player able to win these per run. Additionally, the final boss from any of the Titan Rune dungeons will have the Naxxramas 10-man and Sartharion (Obsidian Sanctum) raid loot tables added, allowing for a chance to obtain gear with a 200 item level in addition to the existing Heroic loot. Other bosses within the dungeons will have drops from Kel’Thuzad, Sartharion, and Malygos at a 213-item level.
