Career-tech platform Internshala has recently announced an exciting partnership with the technology foundation arm of IIT Madras. The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two entities signifies a new era of collaboration in offering skill training programs for students.

As part of this partnership, Internshala and IITM’s Pravartak Technologies Foundation will be providing skill training spread over a period of 6-8 weeks in areas of ethical hacking, advanced Excel, data science, machine learning, SQL for data analytics, business analytics, VLSI Design, and MATLAB. These courses are designed to equip students with the necessary skills to succeed in the rapidly evolving tech industry.

In addition to offering training through Internshala Trainings arm, the platform will also facilitate internship placements for students of both IIT-M Pravartak and IIT Madras. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, providing students with real-world experience and valuable opportunities to kickstart their careers.

Sarvesh Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Internshala, expressed his elation at the partnership, highlighting the importance of skilling opportunities for Indian youth. As an alumnus of IIT-Madras, he is proud to be able to offer placement assistance and valuable resources to the students of his alma mater.

The technology landscape is constantly evolving, and it is essential for the youth to be equipped with the right skills to thrive in the future. Internshala has made it their mission to provide training programs that are aligned with industry needs, ensuring that students are well-equipped to tackle the challenges of the modern workplace.

Professor V. Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras, also emphasized the importance of job-oriented skill development courses in helping students bridge the gap between academia and industry. As India aims to move towards a $5-trillion-dollar economy, it is crucial for premier institutions like IIT Madras to offer such programs that are essential for the growth and development of the nation’s workforce.

This partnership comes on the heels of IITM’s Pravartak Technologies Foundation’s previous collaboration with Sony India Software Centre to equip engineering college students with industry-ready technical skills. The foundation is committed to providing students with the practical knowledge and experience needed to excel in the competitive tech industry.

With the demand for skilled tech professionals on the rise, initiatives like the one undertaken by Internshala and IIT Madras are integral to preparing the workforce for the future. By offering training programs in high-demand skills, these institutions are contributing to the development of a talented and competitive pool of professionals who are ready to take on the challenges of the tech industry.

In conclusion, the partnership between Internshala and IITM’s Pravartak Technologies Foundation marks a significant step towards providing students with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed in the tech industry. Through their joint efforts, they are empowering the youth with the skills and experience necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving job market.
