The Genshin Impact community has received information about an upcoming character through a leak that suggests a new character from Fontaine will likely appear soon in the Genshin Impact game.
The game has a regular update schedule, and the most recent addition to the roster is Dehya, a Pyro user that was introduced in update 3.5. The next installment of this update will feature Mika, a Cryo user, and two five-star characters, Shenhe and Ayaka. While fans eagerly await Mika’s release, they have already learned of another character set to join Genshin Impact in update 3.7, revealed through leaks.
The expected character was initially thought to be designed for Mondstadt’s Varka, but recent leaks confirm that it belongs to Fontaine.
The Genshin Impact community has been given an early look at the upcoming character through leaked information, revealing that she has a noticeable feline appearance. It should be noted, however, that the final design may differ from the informed model as it was based on older artwork. Additionally, SaveYourPrimos, a reliable leaker, has dismissed prior speculation surrounding the character’s rarity and elemental affiliation.
Despite Fontaine’s official release in Genshin Impact being a few months away, insiders with access to the game’s content have already shared plenty of information about the upcoming region. It includes details about the Hydro Archon’s realm, with leaked images showcasing different buildings, the Fatui, and clues about the region’s layout.
Furthermore, more than 10 character models have been discovered via recent leaks, offering a glimpse into the new area’s cast of characters. Moreover, fans are now being given a sneak peek of a new member who will be added to the cast of characters in Fontaine.
An artist called PeepawRichter recently leaked the appearance of a new Genshin Impact character named Wriothesley, much to the delight of the game’s fans.

This leak was confirmed by a reputable Genshin Impact leaker, Tao, who rated the character design 7.5/10 and described it as his “best art” yet.
According to earlier leaks, Wriothesley is expected to be a Cryo character and is believed to come from the upcoming region of Fontaine in Genshin Impact. Initially, some fans assumed that the character designs were associated with Varka, rumored to originate from Mondstadt. However, later leaks clarified that Varka and Wriothesley are distinct characters.
Leaked artwork of upcoming Genshin Impact characters has become common, with the latest being Wriothesley. Among the rumored characters is Kirara, initially believed to be a Geo Bow user from Inazuma, but it is now speculated that she will be a Dendro Sword user instead. So previous rumors indicating that Kirara would be a five-star character have been debunked, and instead, she will have a lower rarity of four stars.
As a result, there may still be another five-star character introduced alongside Kirara in update 3.7. According to leaks by SaveYourPrimos, Kirara, an upcoming character in Genshin Impact, is now believed to use the Dendro element, which surprised fans as the game already confirmed two other symbols with the same component for the upcoming 3.6 updates.
There are also speculations about the possible involvement of the Fatui in the story of Fontaine, and fans are expecting the debut of Sandrone and Arlecchino, who was previously featured in the “A Midwinter Night’s Lazzo” cinematic released before the launch of Sumeru.
Genshin Impact has confirmed that Baizhu and Kaveh will be introduced in the next update. Fans can expect the two characters to be featured in separate banner cycles, much like the recent addition of Dehya and Mika. According to the usual update schedule of HoYoverse, the first banner cycle featuring Baizhu is anticipated to be launched on or around April 17.
Fans of Genshin Impact have expressed disappointment and frustration with the game’s latest addition, Dehya, a five-star character. Many players feel Dehya is underpowered and have several bugs related to its Elemental Burst that causes it to end prematurely.
As a result, players are worried that future characters may also have similar problems. Developers of HoYoverse are likely taking note of these issues and striving to avoid similar pitfalls with their upcoming character releases.
