Amidst all of the ongoing chaos that 2020 has brought upon us, it seems like nothing is making sense anymore. It has become an internet meme now that 2020 is finally going to be the year when humanity bites the dust as things get progressively worse every month. Following that trend, the Pentagon added another piece today to the puzzle of our oblivion, Aliens.
Earlier today, Pentagon officially declassified the three videos of what they called “unidentified aerial phenomena” which had already been previously released by a private company co-founded by the former Blink-182 singer, Tom DeLonge. The videos which initially surfaced way back in 2017 and 2018 show unidentified flying objects moving rapidly in random paths without actually showing any signs of inertia.
What makes the videos so compelling is the fact that they have not been recorded by anyone in their backyard. Instead, they were recorded by Navy officials using infrared cameras and they even include the reactions of service members as they exclaim in awe at the strangeness of the flying objects.
And now, Pentagon itself officially acknowledging the credibility of the videos and releasing them to the public only strengthens previous claims. Here’s the official statement from the Pentagon spokesperson Sue Gough himself:
“(these videos were released) in order to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real, or whether or not there is more to the videos.
After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems, and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena.”
In addition to Pentagon making the videos official, the Navy has also introduced formal guidelines to report for its pilots in case they encounter another similar phenomenon.
The most fascinating thing about the objects in the videos is the fact that they appear to be disobeying our traditional laws of physics. For instance, the flying objects in the videos seem to carry no weight to them and shoot themselves off into totally opposite directions without ever needing to fight any inertial forces.
Furthermore, the objects also phase in and out of the water without ever altering their velocity meaning that they completely ignore the changes in density between water and air. It is almost as if they have some sort of energy field around them that prevents any interaction between the objects and surrounding matter.
In 2017, the former head of the classified program, Luis Elizondo also came forward and talked about videos. In the interview with CNN, he stated that “there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone”. Additionally, he also confirmed that these objects displayed characteristics that just were not within the US or foreign inventory, meaning that these objects are definitely alien to us.

Senator Harry Reid also came forward after the declassification of the videos saying that they barely scratch the surface of what we know about extra-terrestrial phenomena and the American people deserve to know the truth.
However, all forms of unidentified phenomena may not necessarily be aliens either and we shouldn’t jump to conclusions just yet. While it is true that the chances of us being alone in this expansive and vast universe are pretty low, we do need to realise that the fact that the universe is so large makes any contact with extra-terrestrial life forms so improbable.
Additionally, many people have pointed out that the strange objects could be a result of an imaging glitch but since they were spotted in different instances demonstrating similar behaviour, we can pretty much throw that theory away.
We also need to remember that even if other extra-terrestrial life forms do exist, they may not exactly fit our own traditional description of what we consider to be ‘aliens’. The chances of another humanoid species trying to contact us are astronomically low. The aliens might actually just be some bacteria or they could change our entire concept of what a living thing is as well.

Alternatively, if there is a super advanced alien life-form overseeing us, it may just be too different for us to even comprehend. For instance, just like ants cannot really identify the existence of human beings but rather just detect them as giant objects and avoid them, it could be something similar for us as well. We could be the ants in this scenario incapable of ever being able to comprehend another existence.
Silly speculations aside though, the release of this video by Pentagon has opened a plethora of doors for the future and we could actually see more transparency from government agencies going forward. Furthermore, this could also accelerate the process of bringing more classified information to the general public.
In any case, these videos of UFOs have definitely compelled us to think more about our place in the universe and our existence as a species. Let’s just hope that whatever it is, it is not here to doom us all into annihilation.
