Against fake news, facebook decided to test the special version of related articles widget appearing when you return back to the newsfeed after watching the link. Facebook will now let the third-party for fact checking before it allows you to read the article on hot issues.

The fake content reaches the public more quickly through social media platform like facebook, twitter etc. In order to avoid fake news, it is better to consider the source, read beyond the topic, check the authors, consult the experts and check the date. Moreover, the publishers do not care about the spreading of false news and continue to extend misinformation. The Founder David Mikkelson cautioned on November,17 stating that “The fictions and fabrications that comprise fake news are but a subset of the larger bad news phenomenon, which also encompasses many forms of shoddy, unresearched, error-filled, and deliberately misleading reporting that do a disservice to everyone,”
Facebook says “That should provide people easier access to additional perspectives and information including articles by third-party fact-checkers.”
Before the related articles teach you with lies and trappings, facebook will help you to convince that the article might contain overly biased, exaggerated or false content. The feature will catch you before you fall to think deeper.
If your newsfeed has a link saying “chocolate cures cancer!” from a blog before you even click to open it, the article will appear and the medical journal saying that chocolate contains antioxidants that help to reduce the chances of cancer, but it’s generally not a cure. The fact checker similar to Snopes exposes the original post that appears in related articles.
Facebook states that this is just a trial for now and it won’t roll out to the public unless it proves to be practical.
The facebook pages will continue to remain same but related articles are not embedded with the ads.
Previously, related articles were originally launched to extend the number of interesting links about a matter you just have gone through.

Mark Zuckerberg said in his civilized manifesto, one approach to contest this dilemma is by broadening facebook user views. “A more effective approach is to show a range of perspectives, let people see where their views are on a spectrum and come to a conclusion on what they think is right. Over time, our community will identify which sources provide a complete range of perspectives so that content will naturally surface more.”
Some of the bloggers might not be happy to have more recognized challengers, potentially hijacking their site visitors through the related articles.
