After a lot of fuss, the biggest game of the World Fortnite has finally made its way to Android as a timed exclusive for the Samsung devices. The first beta invites of the game are released for the Samsung device owners starting from the Galaxy S7. As detailed by CNET the game invites are already sent to Samsung owners, and you can download the game if you have the Galaxy S7, S8, S9 series or Note 8. However, if you want the best experience than Samsung Galaxy Note 9 should be the device to get but getting a $1000 for a game is something I would not go for the device, however, is very good do check out our first hands-on review.
The exclusivity period for the Samsung devices is from August 9 to August 12 during which it can be downloaded through the official Fortnite Android website or from the Galaxy app store. You can only play the game if you have an official invite from the Epic just like it was the case with the IOS release of the game. EPIC games are also ditching the release on Google play store as Android is an open platform they can maintain their game on their website so that they can avert the 30% share of Google from the revenue the Apps make through in-app purchases. During the launch event, one of the representatives said that,
“It’s a high cost in a world where game developers’ 70 percent must cover all the cost of developing, operating, and supporting their games,” Epic explained. “And it’s disproportionate to the cost of the services these stores perform, such as payment processing, download bandwidth, and customer service.”
To start the game is a Samsung exclusive for you can download the game, but you cannot play unless you have the official invite. Go to the official Fortnite website and press “Play free now” or directly install the installer from Galaxy app store. After downloading open the game but before playing head over to your phone’s settings menu grant the necessary permissions and turn off the developer’s options because due to some unknown reason the game does not work with USB debugging enabled. After that open the Fortnite App again it will download some more data to make it able to run on our device after downloading the game will be ready to play. You can play the game with any other platform there are no restrictions in cross play and lastly, do make sure to disable the permission from unknown sources to keep your device secure.
