Haven’t got a flagship Huawei phone and always wanted the GPU turbo tech? Well, Huawei has seemed to please everyone, by offering its GPU Turbo Technology to everyone: Be it the older Huawei phones, the new flagship game-changers, or the mid-range ones.

Courtesy this new technology, expect up to 60 percent more performance for phones running on Mali GPUs. On top of this, power consumption would also tend to decrease by 30 percent, thus squeezing in the battery juice you always wanted. This mode is basically a boost and was offered initially on Huawei’s Honor 9i, but the good news is that along with Huawei’s Honor Play, the tech-giant has decided to offer this tech to other devices as well.

To receive this boost mode, you would certainly need to update your existing software to the latest one. Don’t worry for we have a list of phones which are expected to receive the update in due time. The good thing is that for this GPU boost, you wouldn’t need spend extra money since there is not a need of any additional hardware required.

You are certainly surprised that how did Huawei manage to pull this off, but for the tech-savvy, it shouldn’t be that appalling. We have moved into an era in which the “software code” decided the performance of a specific hardware more than the hardware itself. There are limitations to the human level of coding which is being improved each day, thus explaining why Huawei couldn’t pull this one earlier.

Though don’t get too excited if your phone is 2016 or earlier. That’s old hardware now mate, and Huawei wouldn’t certainly want to waste its time on older phones, even if they might be flagships. Though, the Mate 9 which came out in 2016 is a lucky one to get the update. If you want to know if your phone is on the list, just go through the following schedule:
